Maintenance Technician
About the job
The Maintenance Technician must have a strong working knowledge of interior and exterior repairs of apartment and office units, buildings and grounds. Responsible for the overall maintenance of DCHA owned properties throughout Davis County. Tasks include, but are not limited to, plumbing, electrical, painting, sheetrock, carpentry, roofing, grounds, sprinkler systems, snow removal, appliance repair, HVAC, and equipment servicing. Will prepare vacant units for new residents, make necessary repairs inside/outside of residential and office units. Will complete inspections, preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, and emergency repairs on all building systems, apartment units, common areas, offices, etc. in accordance with DCHA standards and HUD requirements. Must be able to complete required paperwork associated with work orders, purchasing of supplies, etc. Must be able to work both independently and as a team member, and in a variety of environments. Successful applicant will be on-call 24/7 approximately every fourth week and during the snow season. Must be able to maintain a professional image and attitude while working with residents, staff, vendors, and contractors. Must strictly adhere to safety policies and procedures, and take necessary precautions to maintain a safe living environment for the residents. Knowledge of HUD’s UPCS inspection protocol, Fair Housing law, and Section 504 compliance helpful. Two years work related experience or training and a valid Utah Driver License.
